Responding to Lynda’s electrical fields!

The theme of NY billboards and Richard Box’s electric fields have interested me enough to experiment for the past couple of hours with Photoshop. The sparklers “drawing with light” experiment also suggested to me how this might be combined with pixels and portraits. My mind is converging…

That's really interesting - strange looking at so many mes though!

I don't know how or why you have been able to see my latest posting and yet I can't! It still doesn't show up when I access it, nor do your comments - isn't that odd?

I am going to go out armed with fluorescent bulbs one day/evening and plant a few to see what happens. I'm also curious to see how a person's proximity to the bulbs affects the light emitted - similar I suppose to people interfering with radio/TV reception when handling the aerial?

What would happen, I wonder, to your portraits if you placed two images side by side and then performed all the same steps? Would there be any difference at all?

1 - In theory I could repeat the exact steps on two portraits and should get same effect. However, as portraits start of with different levels of RGB..they tend to end up looking slightly different.
2 - It's amazing how much of the world we dont see or know!
3 - As for bulbs, i've planted a few...the tulip kind!
